Height: 6'2" Weight: 195 Position: P Bats/Throws: Right/Right ML Debut: Spril 4, 1996 Jose Paniagua found himself to be one of the Mariners best set up men in the year 2000. He threw many shut out innings and had a 3.47 ERA. He showed he had the ability to get big outs when he came in in tough situations. He and Paul Abbot put together a 1 hitter against Boston on September 3rd in the m's 5-0 win. In 2001 he struggled with his control a little bit by walking lots of batters. But thats okay because he was on the Mariners and they always have big leads and he's still cool. Jose was sent to Colorado in the deal that brought Jeff Cirillo to the Mariners. Jose Paniagua lives in Santo Dominigo, DR with his two daughters: Alexandra and Caroline. |
