| Born: 03/25/69 Birthplace: Barrington,IL,USA Height: 6'3" Weight: 214 Position: C Bats/Throws: Right/Right ML Debut: Spetember 7, 1992 Dan had an awesome 2002 season. He batted over .300 for most of the season, until the last couple games of the season where he dropped to .295, which was his best average in a while. He signed a contract with Seattle in the offseason, remaining their starting catcher. He also had a 6 game hitting streak, and a 10 game hitting streak. He hit a game winning homerun against the Blue Jays on August 7th. Dan pulled his oblique muscle in early spring training, and will hopefully be ready for the season opener in Japan. Dan Wilson is in his 9th season with Seattle. He is one of 7 catchers to hit an inside the park grand slam. He was named to the All Star Team in 1996. He could have made it last year but Joe Torre decided to take every Yankee he could think of. Last year he guided his pitching staff to the most successful season ever in baseball history. He ended a 0-41 slump in the postseason with a single in game 6 of the ALCS vs the Yankees in 2000. This year he worked hard in Spring Training to make himself become a better hitter. Last year he only made 1 error! And now, Ben Davis is trying to steal his job, but we wont allow that! Dan Wilson lives in Seattle, Washington with his wife Annie and their 4 kids Sofia, Josephine, Abraham and Elijah. His team finished third in the little league World Series in 1981. He majored in mechanical engeniering. |
