| Well, as the 2003 season is just a few days away. Arods Rangers have a new manager in Buck Showalter (spelling?) Arod has a herniated disc in his neck and he should only miss a few games, and he should still be ready to start in the season opener (he hasn't missed a game in two years). ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Time for another update!! John Rocker got sent down to the minors. Texas is 20-something games behind, but really, who's counting? Arod is 3 homeruns away from having 300 career homeruns, which will make him the youngest person to ever hit 300 homeruns in his career. Texas is looking to cut some payroll next season, which might mean getting rid of all-star catcher Ivan Rodriguez.. hmm.. he's actually one of the good players on Texas. But that might now be a bad move. They could get someone younger, who doesn't have a lot of injury problems. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Carl Everett, John Rocker, and Arod.. what more could you ask for in a Ball club? Oh yeah, don't forget the top free agent signing of Todd Van Poppel! Things in this clubhouse should be veeeeery intersting, to say the least. YEsterday Arod was shown on TV saying that last years clubhouse was the best he was ever on. Oookay, that makes sence. Thats why his team couldn't pull off a win because they didn't play like a team. How can he honestly say that Texass had a better clubhouse than the Mariners, Arizona or the *sudder* Yankees? HE must be dilusional. Things in Rangerland are already starting. SO how long till we see team Texas blow up in each other's faces? Not long at all.. it's already started by Carl Everett saying it isn't fair that Arod gets to be the team leader. He said that he doesn't look to him as the team leader, and if you want a leader, look at Rafael Palmeiro. Well, soon enought the combination of Rocker, Everett and Arod's ego's will end up in something not good. I think poor John Hart has taken on more that he can chew.. oh well.. it was his choice afterall! Well, it is a few days later, and already, Texas may get even stranger!! Remember the guy that stole Derek Jeters glove and bat? Yeah, Ruben Rivera.. well, he might land a job in Texas! Of course, everyone knew that had to be coming, hello, it's Texas!! They are going to "evaluate" him first, to see if the will offer him a contract. I bet Ruben is going to fit in nicely with Texas.. they have the kind of things there that he seems to enjoy.. |
