| On December 14, 2001 the Seattle Mariners beloved Right Fielder decided it was time to call it quits. |
| Jay was origonally drafted by the Yankees, but was traded to the Mariners in 1988. |
| Jay Buhner played his heart out, and an injury to his foot caused him to miss most of the Mariners 2001 season. |
| Don't worry, Jay will remain in the Mariners organization, most likely helping out at Spring Training and in the Radio/TV booth. |
| April 2nd, 2002, will be "Jay Buhner Day" and his uniform will most likely be retired. |
| We love you Jay!! Your number 19 will not be forgotten!! |
