| March 17th, 2002 - Arod has a herniated disc in his neck, but he should be ready for the season opener. September 22nd, 2002- Arod is 3 HR's away from 300! July 27th, 2002 - Arod celebrates his 27th birthday by hitting a walk-off grand slam! February 15th, 2002- According to Baseball weekly, Arod and Cynthia Scurtis are engaged. September 28, 2001- He became the first short stop to hit 50 homers by smacking #50 against Anaheim. September 26, 2001- Arod broke Ernie Banks' record for homers in a season with 48. He hit it against the Mariners. September 21, 2001- Arod ties Ernie Banks' record for homers in a season by a ML Short Stop with 47. September 7, 2001- Arod breaks his own record for home runs in a season by an AL short stop with 43. July 27, 2001- Today is Arods birthday and he hit a home run! July 10, 2001- Arod participated in the All Star game and batted 3rd in the line-up and struck out both at bats before being replaced by his friend Derek Jeter. July 9, 2001- Arod hit only 2 home runs in the Home Run Derby failing to move on to the second round. He actually managed to get some cheers out of the fans.. maybe it was because he didn't hit very many home runs, but we'll never know now will we. May 12, 2001- Arod hit his 200th career home run today against the White Sox, he added another home run later in the game too. May 6, 2001- Arod got his 1000th career hit today! "It means a lot," A-Rod said. "To me it's indicative of the hard work I have put in my first seven years. Milestones are a lot sweeter when you are winning and to do it and give us a opportunity to win a ballgame." May 2, 2001- Arod was named one of "Peoples 50 Most Beautiful People" and everyone who saw the picture can see why ;) DECEMBER 11, 2000- AROD SOLD OUT AND SIGNED A $252.2 MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT WITH THE TEXAS RANGERS FOR OVER A TEN YEAR SPAN! CAN YOU SAY GREEDY? SELFISH? I CAN! I BET AROD CAN TOO! ONLY HE WONT ADMIT IT!! |
