Samantha gave Stefanie the time and location where they would meet to confirm information on the mission. Then she logged of and closed her computer. She walked out of her room towards Brittany's to tell her the news. When Samantha walked down the hall, she noticed a man she'd never met before. He was quite handsome, with brown hair in a ponytail falling down to the middle of his back. By the uniform he was wearing, she believed that he would be of high rank, but not from the 'Specials' Unit. Samantha thought for a second about going and asking what he was doing in the officer's quarters, but the recent mission was just too important. Trying to ignore the handsome man, she knocked on Brittany's door and waited for permission to enter. When Lieutenant General Love heard knocking, she at first thought General Oberhofer was going to ask if she got Samantha to help on the mission. So she was surprised to see Samantha standing at the door. "Lieutenant General." Samantha saluted. "Major General Bishop, I didn't know you would be back so soon. Did you get a hold of Thomas?" She asked. "Yes ma'am, I have confirmed a time to meet with Agent Thomas, to inform her of our latest mission." Samantha stated. "Good, come in, can't discuss things around others." Brittany said. "All right." When Brittany closed the door, Samantha asked her who that guy was out there. "Oh, him? He's just a transfer solder from the Moon Port. He's clean, His background was checked before he got here." Brittany said, handing Samantha a mug of coffee. "Who is he? I mean, he's so cute!" Samantha blushed after she realized what she had said. "Oh, He's Brigadier General Jimmy Cannette. He's right under you, so if we wouldn't have taken this mission, he would have, and he could have bumped you out of your rank, and possibly mine." Brittany said, totally devoid of emotion. Samantha was actually a very serious, down to earth, elite solder, but when it came to men, she's just a teenager, like her real age persists. Fortunately it doesn't effect her fighting abilities. "Wha...Bump me out of my rank?" Samantha stammered, her knees buckling, "You're kidding,Right?" "Nope, he thought you were cute, but he's got a girlfriend on the L2 colony. That and he's really focused on his duties." With that, Brittany turned and looked out the window. "So uh, that's good, right?" Samantha stuttered. "Uhuh, The stars are so pretty from up close, aren't they, Captain?" Brittany replied. "Yes Ma'am, But the moon looks so... dead. It seemed alive when we lived on the earth." Samantha said, remembering the last time they were on the earth. Brittany was only 14, and Samantha 13. Closer than any friends could get, they left together to join the Galactic Space Forces. Now that Brittany's 16, and Samantha's 15, they are the youngest high ranking officers in the army. Besides Relena Dorlian, and General Oberhofer, who are both 17. "Major,uh, Samantha, after this last mission, how about taking leave for a few weeks to go to Earth?" Samantha seemed surprised by this request, but she quickly accepted. "I'd love to Brittany, but could we take Stefanie along?" She asked in return. "Sure, why not, the more, the merrier, we could go camping," she replied. "Yes! And we could roast marshmallows, and all kinds of things! Just like... in the old days." The last words were spoken quietly, as if it hurt her to say it. "And if we're lucky, we could invite the Gundam pilots...for protection." When Brittany spoke that, Samantha brightened up quite a bit. "That would be terrific,Oh! I almost forgot, we're going to meet agent Thomas at St. Minapore Square Café at 2000 hours. Is that alright?" Samantha asked. "Fine, I'm in the mood for a cappuchino." Meanwhile, on Earth:
"Yo Heero! Whatcha doing?" Duo Maxwell, pilot of the DeathScythe Gundam, asked from the catwalk on their hanger as Heero worked on his Gundam, Wing Zero. "I'm almost done with repairs. How about you?" Heero asked in return. "Uh, well,Hehehe, I might need to contact Howard for a little help on the repairs." He laughed/choked out. "Hn." Heero said as he went back to the work on his Gundam. "Man, I'm soooo bored, Sure wouldn't mind having a girlfriend around to talk to, since someone named HEERO YUY doesn't like to talk," he loudly stated. "Hn." Heero said again before going into the cockpit of his Gundam. "Man, that guy won't take a hint!" Duo muttered as he scratched his forehead, "Oh well, I'll go call Howard," he added loud enough for Heero to hear, then walked off. As Heero checked though the cockpit's system, he carefully pulled a small picture out of a small packet taped to the bottom of his chair. It's a picture of a small girl, hugging Heero. They both look around 7 years old. Heero is smiling with the little girl with long black-brown hair... "Steffie, where are you my friend?" he whispered. Suddenly a beep went off on his console, he put the picture back and turned on his video screen. Doctor J showed up on the screen, and began talking to Heero. "Heero, I have a mission for you..."
"So that's it? Sounds easy." Agent Thomas stated. "It's not, we might get caught there when the Gundams decide to invade." Brittany said before sipping her cappuchino. "The... The Gundams?" Stefanie stammered out. "Yea, won't it be great?" Samantha said before drinking more tea. "I had no idea, I'll do it... I...I just didn't know they were going to be there." Stefanie managed to say. "Sorry, I should have had Samantha tell you that it involved the Gundams." Brittany said before getting up and placing 2 dollars on the table as a tip. "When do we head out?" Stefanie said professionally, finishing her coffee. "Immediately." Brittany stated before paying for the drinks.
"Everything's up and running Lieutenant General." Samantha yelled from the Silver Starstreak. "Alright. From this point on, we are using our code names, understand?" Brittany (Nashuna) said. "Alright,Yo, Thomas, you hear that?" Samantha (Palakai) asked. "Got it, Palakai,let's get going!" Stefanie (Nepazhad) called back. It was extremely dark out, despite the star's illumination. Brittany, Samantha, and Stefanie flew to the earth to infiltrate the OZ- Stormers' Head Quarters. General Le'salle was on a mission, so Lieutenant General Hard is temporarily in command. "Lieutenant General, I'd like to stress the fact that two Gundams have been spotted in the immediate area," Major General Woods said in salute. "I know, but we must carry out our plans to attack at 0700. Make ready all available mobile dolls for departure," he stated before walking to the door. "I'm going to rest up before the attack. watch things for me while I'm gone." Hard said before exiting through the door. "Yes Sir!" Woods Saluted. "You heard him, Commence in engaging the mobile dolls!" He said, sitting down. "I don't like the feeling of this." Woods thought as the work began. "Okay, we're clear. Let's move out." Brittany whispered to the others. "Palakai, You take the tower that's where General Le'salle has his sleeping quarters. Nepazhad, you take the west wing, and I'll take the east. Take anything that looks interesting. We'll meet back here in 30 minutes." The others nodded. They were all in their 'specials' uniforms, which consisted of tight black cotton/gundanium mesh material. Samantha let her wings out of her black trench coat, and grabbed her scythe in its compact form before flying up to the tower before the lights hit the area. "Good luck Nashuna." Stefanie said. "You too." She replied before they both headed off to their sides of the Military base. When Samantha reached the tower where General Le'salle lives, she quickly shrank her wings and pressed herself against the wall. When the coast was cleared again, she quietly and quickly jumped through the window just before solders walked within viewing range of her. The room was pitch black, so she turned on her hand-held flashlight and pointed it to the ground so not so set off she was in the room. There was nothing in this room besides a bed and a desk. She supposed Le'salle's tastes in decorating aren't much to account for. So she pulled out a spray can. The can had special light sensing dust in it, when she sprayed it, red lasers showed up all over the floor, one of which was right in front of her foot. She carefully stepped over many of them, until she got to the desk. She pulled special gloves over her hands and went through the top drawer, but to her luck, it was nothing but pencils and blank paper. She tried to go through other drawers, but they were all locked. Samantha pulled a bobby pin from her hair and went to work. When she heard the click, she stepped away from the drawer and pulled it out slowly. Nothing happened, so she looked through files. "Hn, how interesting..." Brittany waited till two guards looked away to run behind the door and into the building. There she immediately pressed herself against the wall, by a support beam on the wall. Neither of the solders walking within inches of her noticed she was there. She quickly ran after they left, to the end of the hallway. When she looked over, she saw two ensigns discussing trivial topics, she sped behind them, and knocked them unconscious, dumping them in the uninhabited room, tying them up and stuffing them into a corner before heading over to a computer. She then put a pair of gloves not unlike Samantha's. She then placed a special disk into the disk drive of the computer system and went through any file she chose, downloading many to a separate disk she placed in another drive. She then uploaded a small, but devastating virus into the system, to take place in approximately 10 minutes. Then she headed back out of the room and into the hallway, exiting the building. Stefanie had no trouble getting into the west side, what she found there though, was obviously trouble, at least 200 mobile dolls, Virgo's, taurus', aries', the whole cabootle was standing, ready for action, the other 3,000 were being loaded into plains, being taken out to start yet another battle. She quickly ran along the wall to the mobile doll control room. When she got to the door, one of the guards was standing out, looking around, and the door was open. Stefanie waited till the guy looked away before she attacked. She let the guy down in a comfortable position before going into the room. There was one guy looking out on all of the mobile dolls, he was no problem for her to knock out, she closed and locked the door before continuing though. She at first captured all of the information of plans for upcoming battles before uploading the virus into the mobile doll control system. She then ran out before anyone knew what was going on. All three met back just as the commotion began. It wasn't the commotion they began though. The Gundams Wing zero and DeathScythe had shown up, and begun to fight mobile dolls that flew out. But almost immediately the dolls showed signs of the virus Stefanie installed. The girls went to their Gundams, and Brittany let Stefanie inform the two that they had tampered with all the control systems, and that they would be quite vulnerable in a fight. But it was the initial look on Stefanie's face that worried Brittany. "She looks like she saw a ghost, I wonder why?" She thought as the Special agent looked out of her gundam. "Do we leave? They've got it all under control." She said as her complexion returned. "Yea, sure. Let's go." Heero never thought he'd see THAT face ever again! "Stephanie? What are you doing?" He asked her that before she said she had put a virus into the mobile dolls. He never thought he'd see his old friend again. Before he had begun training as an assassin, she was his strength, they had always thought that they'd get married someday, but that was before she was forced to move. When he saw her face, he felt the love he had for her then grow even stronger. He couldn't fight for a little bit, which didn't matter, because the mobile dolls were dysfunctional. He regained his thought and destroyed the base with the help of the DeathScythe, piloted by his bubble-headed friend, Duo. Before he shot the final blow to the building, He saw three Gundams like his fly off, they were more feminine looking though, not like the one he had. They were smaller slightly. He pushed the thought from his mind for now... "Maybe I shouldn't have left him there, He's too small." Stefanie thought as she flew past the atmosphere. She then corrected herself, "No, He's stronger now, stronger than me, I can't be his strong counterpart forever. If anything, he should be MY strength." The thought flew through her mind a thousand more times before she got to the head base of the GSF. "Yo, Stefanie, You alive?" Samantha asked worriedly as she helped the other fighter out of her Gundam. "Yea, why do you ask?" She returned. "Well gee, you seem so distant right now. What happened on the console, who did you see?" Her questions continued. "An old friend." She quietly said before walking away. "Huh, wonder what's up with her?" Samantha said before walking to the lounge to grab some coffee. As Samantha walked into the lounge, she noticed something on her door. She slowly walked over to it and realized it was a note, The envelope was intricate, the many designs alone made it seem almost, but not quite, heavenly. She opened the note slowly and began to read it:
Dear Samantha,
I know that you might be surprised at my actions, but I have to inform you that I have feelings for you. Please meet me outside the waterfall at midnight.
"Geez, What the hell was that for? I thought he had a damn girlfriend?" Samantha thought. She tucked the note away for now though, she would have a small talk with Jimmy, even though she really had bad feelings about it. She proceeded to walk back to the lounge, where Brittany was sitting, sipping a coffee. "Lieutenant General." Samantha saluted as Brittany sat uncaring. "Major General." Brittany returned. "Uh, have you noticed Thomas' activities, don't they seem kind of strange to you? I mean, She's alright, but I sense something's up with that gundam pilot she talked too earlier. She acted like she saw a ghost! It would be different if she told me what was up, but she's being so damn secretive!" Samantha said with a pound on the table surface. "I know Bishop, but there isn't anything we can do. She has the right to keep her feelings and thoughts secret, and I know you are real worried for your friend, but just back off of her for right now; we don't have anything to worry about until she disappears for no apparent reason." Brittany said with an exaggerated flick of the wrist, as if she was proving her point. "But damn it, I don't want to see her like this, It makes me feel bad." Samantha said sinking further into her chair. "Fine, Bishop, I want you to watch over her for now, If something happens, contact me, and do what you can for her...Is that better Major General Bishop?" Brittany sarcastically stated. "Yes Ma'am!" Samantha saluted. Then when she went at ease, she ran out of the room and into her own. "They can never know. I must see him again though, It's the only way!" Stefanie thought as she paced through her room, gathering up cloths, disks, anything she might need on the trip she just had to take. "Heero is on the earth, I must find him, so much rests on it." She thought as she packed the last of her stuff into her duffel bag. "Okaaaaayyyyyeeee, let's get started." Samantha said to Jimmy out by the waterfall. "Okay, Samantha Bishop, I'm not doing this to get your spot, I just really like you. I don't know why I feel like this, It's crazy, you understand what I'm saying, don't you?" He said. "I like you too, bu-." Suddenly there was a large rumbling sound protruding through the woods. It sounded like... "Oh Shit!" Samantha all but screamed as she ran to find Stefanie, but to her luck, She had left. "Damn it! What do I do now?" She saw her gundam sitting over in the corner, chained to the cement. "She knew." Sam said as Jimmy ran in. "You can take my suit if you want." He said pointing to the red Taurus. "Thanks Cannette, I owe you one." She said as she jumped into his suit and lifted off, following Stefanie's gundam. "No, thank you." Jimmy said with a wicked smile on his face. Samantha tried to contact Stefanie, but either she couldn't find the frequency, or her radio is just plain off. She searched the radio one more time, and found her frequency. "Agent Thomas, can you hear me? Thomas come in damnit, It's me, Major General Bishop." She yelled over the line. "I hear you loud and clear Bishop, What do you want." She replied bluntly. "I want to know what the hell you are doing!" Sam scolded. "I have to go find someone, it's important, don't worry, I'll be back soon. Just tell them I took my leave for a couple of days, nothing important. " She said. "Yea, but I want an exclamation!" Sam screamed. "I'm finding someone I hadn't seen for years, and I just found out he was here on the earth." She replied. "Who, that Gundam pilot? He'll KILL you!" Sam screamed once again. "If he does, than that's that." She then turned off her radio and flew faster than the Taurus could. "Damn, I've got to contact the Lieutenant General now, I'm in for it." "Uhuh, alright, Just let her go for now. Report back immediately." Lieutenant General Love said as she sat at her desk in the middle of her room. When she hung up, she got up slowly and walked to the glass windows. "So, I knew her and that Gundam pilot had something going, but this?" She said looking over some of the most recent information she found on Stefanie Thomas. "No wonder she's such a good gundam pilot, she lived with one for the 1st 7 years of her life; not to mention the most deadly assassin in the universe. Damn, I've truly underestimated her. I better inform Bishop when she gets back. Samantha searched the frequencies one more time, finding one that wasn't one of the "normal kinds." "Who is this?" A male voice asked over the speakers. "This is major general Bishop of the Galactic Space Forces! Identify yourself." She commanded over the intercom. "Weeeellllll, since you asked so nicely. This is Duo Maxwell, Pilot of the DeathScythe Gundam. What do you want?" He asked. "Nothing, I'm searching for another gundam pilot. It's called Light's Veil. Have you heard of it?" Samantha wondered why she had told this other pilot all of this, but she really needed the help. "Light's Veil? Yea, she's here right now... what do you need from her?" His answer really surprised her, why did she run to him? Was he the pilot she talked to? All of the sudden an alarm went off from the main base. "Bishop! Come in! We are being attacked, I repeat, we are being attacked, Come in Bishop!" It was Brittany on the intercom. "I read you, I just found Thomas' location, I will return with her at once." She turned back to the original conversation. "I need Thomas' help. The Galactic Space Force Base is under attack by the OZ- Stormers. Tell her we need her assistance at once." With that Samantha turned off the frequency and flew back to the base. "Man, She's running off pretty quick, eh?" Duo jumped out of his gundam and ran to the living room where him and Heero were hiding out. "Thanks Heero, It's been so incredibly long since we last talked, we were both so young." Stefanie said as she sipped her tea. "Yes, you being forced to move away, and me having to fend for myself against all of those guys." Heero said. "Well, by that time, you had begun your training, you could care for yourself. I couldn't be your strength forever." She said. "Yo Stefanie! Your buddy just called... OZ is bombarding your base, Better return soon." Duo said as he ran into the room. "Oh my god! I have to go, I'll talk to you later." She said as she began to run out of the room. "Let me help." Duo said blocking her way. "Yes, let us help you." Heero added. "I really don't think-." "Don't think. Just act." Heero said going out of the door in front of her. "He never gives up." Stefanie said to herself as she ran behind him, with Duo tagging the rear. "Take the south side Perkins... Ingrish, Lead your solders into the west wing, I'll take north." Brittany commanded as she led her solders into battle against the OZ- Stormers. "Hey, Don't forget me!" Samantha beamed over the intercom. "Fine, Get your gundam and lead your solders into battle! Take the east!" Brittany said as she flew into battle with the rest of her solders. "Yes Ma'am!" Samantha replied as she ran in to get her Gundam. Samantha jumped out of Jimmy's suit and ran to her own, which was no longer chained to the floor. "Nice to have you back... Major General." Jimmy's voice was filled with hatred. "Jimmy?" Samantha said surprised. "Yes, It's me. And I guess you see a leak had occurred while you were gone. Oops." He said as he laughed. "Jimmy? You did this?" Samantha couldn't believe it. He had been checked off as clean. By Brittany! "What do you want?" Samantha said, bracing herself. "Why my lovely, I want you... dead!" Jimmy lunged at her with a sword he had pulled out from his belt. Samantha dodged it, reaching for her own sword. "Don't make it harder for yourself lovely." He yelled clanking his sword against her own. "Then give up BASTARD!" Her sword, being just freshly sharpened that day, sliced cleanly through his. Sending a shocked brigadier to the ground. "What do you have to say for yourself, young man?" Samantha said putting her sword away. "Goodbye Samantha." He said pulling a gun out and pointing it at her. "STOP RIGHT THERE!" A male voice said as the gun was shot from Jimmy's hand. "What the hell?" Jimmy said as the figure stepped out of the darkened corner of the room. "Don't make me angry... I might want to kill you." Duo said as he stepped out of the darkness. "Fuck off girlie. I don't think you would kill me weakling." Jimmy said laughing. "No, I'll just arrest you for treason." He said as he pulled a set of handcuffs out of his back pocket. He tossed them to Samantha, who cuffed him and held him to the ground. "I'm sure your girlfriend will love you for this one." Samantha said. "Huh?" Duo questioned puzzled. "Don't ask, Just act." Samantha said, pulling him to a standing position. "Spill the beans Jimmy old' boy, Who is head of the OZ- Stormers... WHO?" Samantha all but screamed. "Kill me, and I'll tell you." He said, apparently gone insane. "What the hell's wrong with you?" She said softer. "Just wait." Jimmy said. There was a loud crack coming from one of his teeth breaking, and he fell limp, he was dead. "Oh hell, fake tooth with cyanide." Samantha said letting him fall to the ground. "We better get out of there, they are being crushed." Duo said as he ran to his own gundam. And Samantha ran to her own. They lifted off together, and flew out to the battle raging ahead. "Damnit! There are too many!" Brittany said as she blew away a mobile doll, only to have two more come after her. "I'm here to help Lieutenant General." Stefanie said over the intercom as she flew into the battle scene. "Thanks, We need the help." She said. "Thanks for your help, uh, who are you anyway?" Samantha asked the boy. "Duo, remember?" He replied. "Oh! Thanks Duo." Samantha said as she flew off to battle. "Thanks... Samantha." Duo replied softly. "Samantha! Where were you?" Brittany yelled over the intercom to Samantha who just showed up. "I found something out about Jimmy, He's been our recent leak. You were wrong about him." Samantha replied. "I didn't do anything for him, It's been General Oberhofer." Brittany said. "Oh, sorry." Samantha said.
"So, now what will happen?" Stefanie said to Heero after the battle was beat by the GSF. "I don't know. I have to leave on another mission. I'm sure we'll see each other again." Heero replied. "I'm sure we could help you, if you don't mind." Samantha said walking into the room. "Sure, whatever." Heero replied. "So Heero, what's your relationship with that Stefanie girl?" Duo asked, plopping down on the couch of their temporary dorm room. "Nothing, just old friends." Heero replied. "Sure, whatever you say. I like her friend thought, Samantha? She's very attractive." Duo said. "You would think so." Heero said as he got up and went to his bed and turned out the lights. "Goodnight Duo." He said as he turned over. "Night Heero." Duo replied as they both fell asleep. Duo didn't know when he would see Samantha again, but something in his mind happened when he met her. He now wouldn't, Couldn't live without her. he just couldn't see it yet. His heart skipped a beat when he first met her, and it hasn't started beating again... yet.
