Family: Lilly Venci - Kale's mother. She died shortly after he was born. Kale never really knew his mother but remembers that she used to read him poetry.
Sir Trent Venci - Kale's father. He was killed in battle when Kale was fifteen. Kale looks a lot like his father. Trent was a kind and generous man that always treated everyone equally.

In a joust or in combat, Kale always wears a suit of armor that covers his upper body well. When Kale is outside, he will wear simple clothes.
Personality: Kale is shy and quiet young man. He often keeps to himself but likes to do things at random. He is very energetic and athletic. Kale is also very creative and this shows in his literature and poetry. He is very charming and can be quite loving if given the chance. Like his parents, Kale is generous and kind. He always helps others and treats everyone equally, no matter their social standing. Kale has better than average intelligence and can often figure most things out fairly quickly. He doesn't like to fight and wouldn't if he had the choice but his lord, the king, demands that he fights. When he does fight, Kale is very aggressive and patient. On a tactical scale, Kale is a strategic wizard. There is no situation that can't find a strategy to use. Kale is not afraid of death, as most mortal men are. This makes him a dangerous opponent. Generally, Kale is a very likable guy. He feels that women who were raised to be more lady-like are stuck up and expect everything to be given to them. He wants to find a woman that can take care of herself but knows that she can't do everything herself. Kale is also very respectful and chivalrous, treating women as people and not objects. He even stands when a lady leaves the table during a banquet. Kale feels that he is most peaceful when he is outside, be it exploring the forest or just relaxing in the sun.
History: Lilly and Trent first met at a jousting tournament. Six months later, Lilly's father realized that she fell in love with Trent and made him an offer. If Trent won the next tournament, he would let him marry Lilly. Trent didn't lose a single match. Two years later, Lilly gave birth to Kale. When Kale was only two years old, his mother died from a disease. Trent began to raise Kale by himself. He taught him everything a knight should know: how to fight, how to compose literature, and how to behave when in the presence of a lady. When Kale turned fifteen, his father was killed in battle. Kale took this loss rather hard but continued to live life. At the age of sixteen, Kale was knighted. Kale spent the next two years studying strategy and honing his skills with a sword. He dated several girls during this time; four of which were elves, two were faye, and two were catlings ...he even dated the king's eldest daughter for a bit. Some weren't that serious while others were a bit more intimate. When he was nineteen, he met a female elf named Heyria. She had silk-like brown hair and clear amber colored eyes. Though Kale was attracted to her beauty, what really got his attention was her personality and her love of the outdoors. This was, by far, the most serious relationship Kale had ever been in. After seven months, he proposed to her and almost married her. The day of the wedding, several elven soldiers stormed the cathedral and arrested Heyria. Turns out, Heyria murdered several nobles and Kale would have been next. She pleaded with Kale, constantly telling him that she wasn't going to kill him ...that she truly did care for him. Despite this, Kale's sense of justice won the inner battle and he gave her up right there. That incident hurt him inside but he recovered as he always did. Kale served a great and noble king that recognized his skill and experience. This gets him put in the heat of battle on a regular basis despite his personal feelings. While he was riding through town one day, he heard about a peaceful island called Hiketsu. After informing the king about his intentions, Kale got onto the boat bound for Hiketsu.
