Personality: Gaiea usued to be a very warm and kind person. She loved a good laugh and she loved playing with her children. In her land, she made sure that everyone had clothes on their backs and food in their mouths. Sometimes she held great Masques for all to attend to and when war was upon them, she helped give refuge to those who needed it, no matter what thier race or status in life. However, war has taken it's toll upon her happy nature. With the slauter of her husband and her children, Gaiea's heart froze and turned to ice. She now moves about like a cold shadow. Devoide of emotions, she seeks shelter in herself and retreats from others. She keeps to herself, but this does not mean that she will not speak to anyone. If someone wishes to speak with her and if they need her advice, she is willing to give it.
History: Gaiea is the daughter of two nobles of no great mention. They were the Count and Countess of Daeleth. The two were married, rather unhappily through an aranged marriage. They had two children soon after, and though they did not love one another, they loved their children dearly. The Count and Countess were more like friends than husband and wife. As the years continued, Gaiea grew up into a very beautiful faye. Her beauty was praised by many and her wisdom as well. She loved her brother Japheth very much and the two learned everything together. Through Japheth, Gaiea learned the ways of the blade and arrow. She was able to pick up any weapon and knew how to use it, and how to use it effectivly. When ar came upon their family, Japheth went off to war. Gaiea had wanted to go off with him as well, but her parents did not allow it. As the years went by, they soon heard that Japheth was killed in battle. The family was heartbroken and there was great mourning. It was then decided by Gaiea that she was to go to war so as to make sure that Japheth?s death was not invain. She escaped her house by dressing up as a male, and wearing her brother?s armor, she set off to the battle field. In her brother?s name, she won many medals for bravery and rose in the ranks. And it was during this time that she met the young Elathen, son of the Duke of Serenborne. The two fought side by side and became great companions. However, Gaiea was falling in love with Elathen. In her disguise as a male however, it was clearly out of the question to announce her love, and so she suffered in silence. But good fortune was on her side and one evening, Elathen had unwittingly found her bathing in a river. Upon finding out that the brave and heroic lad that he had been fighting with was really a woman, kindled his new found love for her. The two were soon married, and Elathen?s father handed over the duchy to him. The two stayed out of the war for many years after that and had four children, Gareth, the oldest, Jahzara, Daelyn, and Tiyana the youngest. When Gareth turned 830, Elathen was again called off to battle. Gaiea had wanted to go with him, but she still had her young children and Serenborne to take of. And so Gareth went with him instead. Gaiea cared for refugees that sook out shelter at Serenborne, and kept order in the land. However, when news of how her husband was betrayed and killed, along with her son, she began seeking a way to keep her other children safe. The enemy line was slowly closing upon Serenborne and Gaiea wanted her children to live in peace. When she heard of Hiketsu though, she took the opportunity to send her children away there. Unfortunatly, someone intercepted their escape and captured them. Grief striken, and angered, Gaiea was unable to keep the enemy away and ended up having to flee for her life. She took this time to instead look for her missing children, but to no avail. Lamenting all that had happened, Gaiea took a ship to Hiketsu, hoping to find her children there, and if not, that they will find a way there and that they would be reunited. On board the ship, Gaiea had found a young girl. Her name was Reen K'tall. She had been wandering around for a couple of years now and was only 12. Her village was distroyed when she was 8 and her parents were killed. Gaiea took Reen in and raised her as her own daughter, but also as warrior and friend. The two are now great friends and advise one another in many things. Together, they hope to find peace at last in Hiketsu.
