Label Us :

  • This site, as you might already know, is completely different from anything else out there
  • We are a online written realistic wolf based role play game. Online: on a web site, Written: on message boards, written out, not like a game were you choose between options, all creativity, Realistic: no talking, no magical powers, no supernatural possessions, no aliens, no un-wolf-like actions(aside from rational emotions), or anything that is not the writing of wolves in the wild (also, please no humans dressed him up, or burned marks in the shape of sunglasses or anything like that), Wolf Based: the characters are wolves, gray with some artic mostly, though timber will be accepted, and occasionally a red wolf, though with permission only, Role: you write what your character (wolf) is doing, whether it is smelling the scents of the forest or pursuing a swift doe, Play Game: yes, this is a game, but one that takes devotion, no one likes the person that playing Monopoly and throws the game board when they get a bit bored.
  • Most members are teenagers, but some are younger, and some are older. But mostly this is for fun and to improve our writing skills, and to improve communication skills, and to enjoy using our creativity.

    Writing Subjects:

  • Use your common sense: Your wolves can do only what real wolves can do
  • You may write what their body language means as if it was "speech" though
  • Research wolves: it helps. (Try David L. Mechs The Way of the Wolf, or lioncrusher.com)
  • Please put lots of effort into your writing. Put what your wolf feels, and sees, and smells, and hears, and the texture of what he sees and the condition he is in

    Words in Writing:

  • Using correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization ect. is requested.
  • Try to use proper spelling and grammar. Lots of 's and abbreviations and poetic words will not be accepted.
  • We use dictionary.com
  • Visit our lingo page!
  • Put OOC comments in your messages (if you want) at the beginning or end, enclosed in (( and )).

    HTML in Writing:

  • Basic HTML helps make your posts neater and more fun...try Funky-chickens.com for HTML.
  • If you do use html, make sure to close the tags. The post will be deleted if you don't
  • Also, not HTML in the subjects or names, it just makes the boards look neater if everyone doesnt.

    Member Registry :

  • Before you can RP, you must register
  • Just go to register yourself and post with the complete filled out form
  • Once you do that, you can go to Claim a Character and post back to the message of the wolf you want and say you would like to claim it after you are accepted
  • After you post at the registry board, we will go and answer back and tell you whether you are accepted as a member, or if you need to go brush up on the presentation at Moon Island

    Claiming a Character :

  • You cannot simply join a new character like the other RPGs. The only way to play here is to spirit one already on the site
  • Before you can RP, you must register, as explained above
  • You need to go by what is on the stats when you first start RPing a character, but then you can gradually change the character's personality if you wish.
  • Remember to be active!
  • On the News page, it says whether you can claim more then one wolf, depending on how many members we are getting and how close to winter we are.

    Time :

  • Time continues here like in the real world, but faster
  • Each month is a season. Each of the four weeks is part of the season. Like opening, early, mid, and late.
  • Wolves do age, you can't stop it. All wolves age, no exceptions
  • Pups are in the den for the first fourth-season, then the mother will start bringing them out on adventures
  • Pups live half in, half out of the den by the end of their first season, depending on the mother
  • Pups are traveling with the pack by their third season(autumn)
  • Pups leave their mothers when they become a yearling(winter)
  • Wolves become mature at two years of age.
  • Wolves enter their prime at age 3, and leave it around age eight or nine
  • Wolves die around age 11 to 12
  • That means you could get a pup, and it would live for a whole year our time, or more. And, that means one year could cover six generations
  • The season is posted on the "News and Updates" page

    Breeding :

  • No long breeding, I'll say it again, just dont do it
  • You must post that the wolves had bred on the normal RP boards, and maybe have them lead each other off from the gatherings. But dont post what happens
  • There is only one litter of pups per pack will be aloud by the alphas, unless we really new need wolves to be spirited
  • To increase wolves to be spirited, wolves of the Cadeos can breed in the spring or fall, but not twice in one year
  • After your wolves mate, you post all the stats of the pups on the breeding board using the form there, with a note saying which pups the parents are spiriting
  • When the pups are born the mother my post the birthing in a post, and the pups the parents are not spiriting need to be posted on the Claim a Character page to be taken by other members. If no one takes them after a while then you can ask people to take them, or have a death posted for them
  • You must post the pups growing up, like post them being weaned, and learning to hunt, and fighting among themselves for pup ranks
  • All of the mothers attention is on her pups for the first season, and the father must bring her food
  • A pup sitter can be chosen to help watch the pups after the first season, but the pups cannot be left alone until two seasons of age when the mother or pup-sitter becomes like their watchful playmate until they are three seasons. Then the pup sitter must watch over them most of the time, because the mother will be paying attention to breeding season coming up again
  • Wolves mate for life. If a pair mates two years in a row they are mates for life, but if they mate one year, and then change partners the next, they are not mates. Though a pair can declare they are mates without even breeding once

    Fighting :

  • All fighting is informal, yet there is a certain social code that is loosely followed. Even the fights for rank are just fights happening
  • Wolves can fight for any reason, but the most common are ranks, mating, respect, or rights
  • Wolves can challenge higher ranking wolves, and if they win they get that position, then the loser must figure out a rank
  • When the higher wolf looses a rank fight, there are three rank options: (1)the alpha might give him/her a rank, (2) he/she may get the loser's rank, (3)or he may just go down a rank, depending on if the wolves a rank under him/her try to be more dominant then he/she
  • When the lower wolf loses, he/she is not demoted or anything just from loosing
  • Fighting is not considered a big thing, and if you fight then you are considered any different
  • Fighting a lot may give you a bad reputation if you have no reason, but fighting a lot for ranks or mates or anything is totally normal
  • Teeth are rarely used by males in fighting, but females may use their fangs all the time, especially against a male because they know that gives them an advantage
  • The password needs to be I didnt see it or I don't know, not the one listed in Extras
  • Quarrels mostly mean nothing, and growling can be heard when a wolf is annoyed and doesn't mean a challenge, just like snarling can mean the wolf is frustrated
  • It takes a lot to get a wolf to fight, not just growling or snarls or an insult, just like you wouldnt punch your classmate if they snapped a comment at you.
  • Challenges for rank is totally normal, and is testing rank. It keeps the high ranking wolves proven as the leaders
  • Grudges cannot form quickly, and are rare to start with
  • A challenge for rank does not mean that higher wolf keeps an eye on the other for any sign of aggression, it can mean that the wolf is a bit more careful around that wolf for a day or two perhaps
  • Often a wolf lower in rank from the loser may challenge him right away to gain rank, so challenging can be risky if you are already up a bit in rank, and this also means that the challenger may back off if the higher wolf continues so fight, to he is not exhausted after the fight and gets challenged

    Hunting :

  • Wolves hunt in groups
  • Hunts MUST last a long time
  • You must have them hunt realistically, like in everything else, cutting the jugular is not allowed here
  • Wolves hunt by ambushing the animal and inflicting wounds on the haunches and sides, and then stalking the animal for several days and stopping it from eating or resting, and inflicting more wounds until the prey dies from starvation, blood loss, or dehydration
  • There must be at least four adult wolves to bring down large prey
  • Hunting pups must be helped with their little hunts
  • Pups cannot hunt in pack hunts
  • Wolves cannot take down totally healthy prey, ALL the prey they take down is old or weak or sick
  • Anyone who has prey permission can RP the prey

    Pack Life :

  • Packs have ranks, and they are usually followed. With the exception of close friends that may have effect on the orders
  • Alphas are the ones that accept new members into their pack, and who promote ranks, though they can give the betas or other high ranking wolves or close respected friends permission to do so
  • Wolves can only belong to one pack at a time, and must live there with their other pack-mates
  • If a wolf disrespects a high ranking wolf or disobeys the alpha or beta, he might be thrown to the ground by a high ranking wolf to let him know that he needs to listen to the higher wolves. If a wolf fights back in these respect lesions, then either the two wolves will fight it out (like a normal rank fight aside from the fact that if the disrespectful wolf looses he will get driven out of the pack), or the alpha will just drive the wolf out or give him a brutal lesson on respect with his fangs and make him omega
  • If a wolf leaves a pack they will most likely be disliked by that pack if they went and joined another pack unless it was for mating purposes
  • Yearlings are free to leave their pack any time between becoming a yearling and maturity at age two, they just have to say goodbye to the alpha to let them know they are venturing out on their own from the pack
  • Packs hunt in their territory, and thats where the hunts will be posted

    Land Claiming :

  • Any loner can claim unclaimed lands, but they must drive away all loners by themselves, and often they will be killed or thrown from their position before they can establish a pack
  • When those land claiming loners get a mate they will be considered a pre-pack, but that doesnt mean they will stay one. They will most likely be defeated by all the other loners wanting to live in that land before they can get a real pack going
  • A pre-pack reaches pack status when they have at least one mating pair and one litter of pups, and then they are put on the groups side
  • Loners and loner bands can still challenge packs and may win
  • If a pack is defeated, then the land is non-claimable unless the victor of the battle wants to claim it. And depending on his/her followers it may become just a claimed land and not a pack.
  • Pack will be aloud to claim another land when we get enough members(this rule will be changed when we do)

    Joining a New Wolf :

  • If you have a wolf you wish to join with, instead of just taking a wolf already here you need to talk to one of us, and if we agree then we will add the wolf to your page and you can RP them
  • The purpose of that is to add new blood lines. Normally we will have wolves join in pairs to add new pure blood lines
  • All month I will be selecting members who I think are really good active RPers. Those people will be aloud to join one new wolf that is not of that land and clear it with an owner at the end of the month when I post on the OOC board the list of members that are selected. I will post who can within the first three days of each month

    Extra :

  • There is a page called "Suggest a Name" where you can post some of the names you like a lot for other members to choose for their pups, but don't put names that you are really attached to because other people may steal them
  • The password is ikkle-tip-kins
