a page of puzzles!!
1. what would happen if an irresistavle force (i.e. a cannonball that cannot be stopped by anything) met an immovable object (i.e. a wall that cannot be moved by anything)?
2. Assuming you are paying, is it cheaper to take one friend to the movies twice, or two friends to the movies at the same time? (It dosent depend on how much popcorn they eat!)
3. What are the next 2 letters in the sequence?
A E F H I K L M...
4. Can you translate the following?
1 0 0 4 1 8 0
5. This is a most unusual paragraph. How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so ordinary youd think nothing was wrong with it - and in fact, nothing is wrong with it. It is unusual though. Why? Study it, think about it, and you may find out. Try to do it without coaching. If you work at it for a bit it will dawn on you. So jump to it and try your skill at figuring it out. Good luck - dont blow your cool!

My word, that paragraph *is* unusual! It took my tiny
brain all night to find out why, but finally, I saw! :)
Dont know about 1-4 though...

Re: a page of puzzles!!
1. Two answers that make some sense:
a)Neither can exist in the same universe, as the existence of one presupposes that the second cannot exist
b)The unstoppable force stops, and the immovable object moves
2. Taking one friend twice involves buying four tickets, two friends once involves buying three. So two friends once is cheaper, unless youre taking the friend twice in the afternoon when you get a discount.
5. Got this quickly, but nobody has said a solution so I wont - but to show I know, this paragraph is similarly unusual.

unexpected tiger.
deaf parrot Mat?, like the "cabin" one mate, but i have one also(sos if youve heard it)-
a arabian man approaches a king about the marrage of himself to his princes. The king says he can marry his daughter if he can solve a riddle, he says: "i have seven doors in a room in which you stand, behind one of these doors is an "unexpected tiger", if you can open any one door without facing the tiger (and survive) then you can indeed wed my daughter".
the man thinks to himself that maybe this is a trick, and that if he opened six doors then the last door would have to hold the tiger and therefor would not be unexpected, so the tiger couldnt possibly exist!? Anyhow he takes his chances and gets torn apart when he opens the wrong door. How was the mans theory wrong??

IM BACK!!!!!
I see your still at the puzzles so heres a few more to get you thinking:
1. when can 10+4=2?
2.It is imposible for anyone to survive longer than 1 week without drinking, yet Abdullah managed a 10 day desert crossing without finding any water or bringing any drinks along. How is this possible?
3.Hardy Pyle was washing windows on a high rise office building when he slipped a fell off a 60 foot ladder onto the concrete sidewalk below. Incredebly he was not harmed. How was this possible?
4.Clara Clatter was purchacing her new parrot, the salesman assured her that it would repeat any word it heard. About a week later, Clara returned the parrot complaining that it hadnt uttered a single word since she bought it. Given that the salesman had spoken the truth about the parrots abities, why wouldnt the bird speak?
5.Three avid mountain climbers paid alot of money to be the first to scale a mountain. After several days of climbing they finally reached the pinnacle, and to their dismay, found a cabin and three frozen bodies. Since they were the first people to ever climb the summit, how could this be possible?

Re: IM BACK!!!!!
Just wondered if theres some sort of link between the THREE climbers and the THREE bodies - them? A coincidence its number 3 for both. The puzzle says they found the cabin - this could mean they built the cabin and then froze in it.
Sorry, this is all I can think of. Oh, a second thought, could the bodies be bodies of water or something?

Puzzles!
Well people for using the message board for posting challenges that I started, nothing more then Yesterday, so here is some puzzles that ive got.
1) Twice Six is eight of us,
Six are but three of us,
Nine are but four of us,
What can we possibly be?
Would you know more of us?
Ill tell you more of us,
Twelve are but six of us,
Five are but four of us,
Now do you see?
This one is slightly easier
2) How many is 6?
"32p Maam."
And 36 is how much?
"That is 64p Miss"
And many is 265?
"98p Maam"
How can this be?
But this has NO MERCY!
3) A row of four figure of value will be
Above seven thousand nine hundred and three
But When they are halved, youll find very fair
The sum will be nothing, in truth I declare?
Last one!
4) Half of 13 is 8!
How can this be?
Sorry for the mathmatics, but these ones are good!

The Solutions!
1) Twice Six is eight of us,
Six are but three of us,
Nine are but four of us,
What can we possibly be?
Would you know more of us?
Ill tell you more of us,
Twelve are but six of us,
Five are but four of us,
Now do you see?
THE NUMBER OF CHARACTERS IN EACH WORD =TWICE SIX, EIGHT CHARACTERS!
2) How many is 6?
"32p Maam."
And 36 is how much?
"That is 64p Miss"
And many is 265?
"98p Maam"
How can this be?
DOOR NUMBERS!
3) A row of four figure of value will be
Above seven thousand nine hundred and three
But When they are halved, youll find very fair
The sum will be nothing, in truth I declare?
7903 = 8888, THE TOP HALF of 888 IS 0000!
Last one!
4) Half of 13 is 8!
How can this be?
13 = XIII WHEN THE SPLIT HORIZONTALLY, IT READS VIII WHICH IS EIGHT!

3 - huh? Okay, I see the second half, "the top half of 8888 is 0000". But how do you get from 7903 to 8888?

Think of some English words ending in -GRY.
EG, Angry and hungry are two. In fact,
there are only three words in the English
language. What is the third word? The
word is something that everyone uses every
day. If you have listened carefully, I
have already told you what it is.

I have just opened up a virtual clothing store. In need of a virtual manager, can u pass my test for virtual employment.
My pricing method is strange, and I offer to hire the person who can figure out how much UNDERWEAR would cost if:
a VEST cost 20
SOCKS cost 25 apiece
but 55 a PAIR OF SOCKS
a TIE costs $15
and a BLOUSE costs $30
Will YOU be my next virtual employee?
