¨trouble with vendors¨ article
On the 8th of April I received the box containing 2 lenses from
K*****amera but not until after having big trouble at the import tax
place as he didn't put a note inside saying that the 250mm lens was a
warranty repair as I requested. GRRRRR
Eventually they let me take the lenses without paying the extra tax
after I assured them of my truthfulness about this whole messy affair.
So I get the box home and I open it up and there was the 120mm lens
inside , and I must say , it is a nice enough lens , but then I got out
the 250mm Arsat and blow me down , its still got the stuck iris.
Not only this , but in their attempt at a ¨professional¨ repair
they had dented the buggery out of the retractable lens hood.
After 4 months of waiting and high postage costs to the Ukraine I ended
up with a repaired lens that was NOT repaired , and now in fact damaged
by them.
The quality of the workers that it was sent to was abysmal to say the
least and K*****amera had said that it was in 100% GOOD condition ,
more BULL SHEET'ing !
Anyway . I emailed K*****amera with these new findings and asked what
could be done.
And do you know what .... ??; Silent treatment once again.
I didn't get a reply from my 8th of April email to K*****amera.
So I waited a few weeks , just in case they were out of town or
vacation or something and because of no response I was forced to take
it to the next level.
What I did next was I filed a fraud case against K*****amera with the
Americans FBI's Internet fraud section.
I did this online at http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp .
It was quite lengthy to fill out all of the online forms and I included
all of my email correspondence with K*****amera in with the case file.
They replied and said that they were very interested in pursuing this
case.
After this I emailed K*****amera once again stating what I had done and
that a VERY RAPID solution could prevent this case from proceeding , as
I could withdraw it if I chose.
So what was the K*****amera response ??
NOTHING !
Sooner or later the cops will go banging on his door and sort him out.
It could have been done an easier way but K*****amera CHOSE the HARD
WAY.
Waiting nearly 6 months for one broken lens and one lens that I wasn't
keen on in the first place is NOT acceptable.
I do not care what country of origin a seller comes from , but they
MUST act in an HONOURABLE way and give what they promise.
It is my opinion that K*****amera has not acted lawfully or even in any
sort of decent way , and most definitely has shown that their profit
margin is more important to him than honesty or honour.
