Now we can say that magical saying ¨reassemble in reverse
order¨ :-)
The parts go back together quite easily with no hidden problems.
Be mindful not to get finger marks on the glass parts when working with
them and only use enough lens lube to do the job.
We recommend using the proper lens lubricants but some general purpose
light grade synthetic grease can be used in a pinch.
On this one the focus ring unit only fitted smoothly on one helical
position.
I could not see any reason why it would not screw onto it at any start
position as most lenses can , but this one just bound up unless you
were on the correct thread.
Perhaps the helical pieces are a matched set and only go together one
way , but I guess by the quality of the machining and the smoothness of
it afterward that its just from bad machine work.
The Arsat definitely is not up to the quality of jap lenses as far as
construction is concerned but none the less it seems like a good lens
and when really clean and working rite it should be capable of
excellent pictures.
