| Brian and Diane's black Mk3 The pictures were taken in autumn 1980, just after it received it's acrylic black with lacquer paint job. At this time it also received new exteror trim. the interior was standard except for a burgundy shag pile carpet and a decent stereo, a CB radio on a slide mount in the glove box and air horns. The car was sold in 1981 when Brain and Diane left the UK. they remember it as 'as sweet as a nut' and quite quick. None of their other cars have had the same appeal as the Cortina. Brian refers to te GT seats as Star Trek seats, as I refer to them as tombstones does anyone know which is correct or where the terms came from. Is this car still on the road, or as it been scrapped. please e.mail me if you know anything about it. |
