How We Met...

On one fateful evening, Kiersten and her buddy Erin ventured into new territory...Queen Anne Hill in Seattle. It was at the Paragon that Reed Finley grabbed Kiersten's arm and offered to buy her a "Purple Hooter." Reed bought so many "Purple Hooter's" for Kiersten that she got a bit tipsy. Meanwhile, Reed introduced Kiersten to his friend Pat, who was celebrating a birthday in a day, to which Pat exclaimed, "hey, how about a birthday kiss?" Kiersten leaned over and kissed him, and that is how the story began!

Kiersten and Pat did lots of great things together in and around Seattle. Fond memories include: Our first date on Easter Sunday (The Brooklyn), the Tulip Festival, San Diego (Hotel Del), San Francisco (Jarvis, Wellington), camping in the Cascades, Vancouver (moving to where??), and our river rafting trip with the gang in Hood River, OR.

In August of 1997, Pat told Kiersten about a promotion which would move him to Albany, NY. The two decided to move back and give it a try. On their six month anniversary, September 15, Pat proposed to Kiersten at the Canlis Resturant in Seattle.

In the following pages, Kiersten will share the events surrounding and leading up to their wedding on August 8, 1998.
