The chemistry of Lip Stick

I use lip stick everyday. It is one of my greater joys in life. It comes in a variety of shapes and colors. My personal favorite is Plum. However, the chemistry of lip stick goews much deeper....
There are many different ingredients in Lip Stick. Here they are:
Methyl alcohol - CH3 OH
Olive Oil -H3 CH3 OH3 C
Castor Oil- is mainly PCl5 POCl3 but the more specific ingredients are : 4.2% linoeic acid, 3.0% Oleic acid, 1.0% Stearic acid, 1.0% Palmitic acid, 0.7% Dilhydroxystearic acid, 0.3% linolenic acid, 0.3% Elcosancic acid.
Candelilla Wax- Monohydroxyb alcohols, fatty acids, and hydrocarbons
Cocoa Butter- which is composed of many different glycerides.
Lanolin
Petroleum
Vitamin E
Aloe vera
Collagen
Amino Acids
Sunscreen
Of course depending on the amount of lip stick the amounts of these ingredients will vary. These elements are combined together, molded and then cooled to make beautiful lip stick. Certain dyes would also be added to the ingredients list to make a specific color of lip stick.
My info came from

A more complex explanation of cocoa butter and its ingredients

Glycerides
                 Percentage
Trisaturated                 2.5- 3.0
Triunsaturated              1.0
Diunsaturated
Stearo-diolein               6-12
Palmito-diolein              7-8
Monounsaturated
Oleo-distearin               18-22
Oleo-palmitostearin       52-57
Oleo-dipalmitin             4-6

You may have seen the word hydrocarbons used alot here. Hydrocarbons may be gaseous, liquid, or solid at normal temperature and pressure, depending on the number and arrangement of the carbon atoms are gaseous; those with 20 or more are solid; those in between are liquid. Crude oils are liquid but may contain gaseous or solid  compounds (or both) in solution. The heavier a crude oil ( i.e. the more carbon atoms its molecules contain) the closer it is to being a solid and this may especially notieable as its temperature cools. Light oils will remain liquid at very low temperatures. The simplest hydrocarbon is methane, a gas consisting of one carbon atom and four hydrogen atoms.
They way people look has a great deal of importance in American Society. One way of looking well kempt for women is to wear makeup. The most popular form of womens makeup is Lip Stick. Women of all ages and races wear Lip Stick to make themsleves appear more beautiful. Lip Stick has been used as early as the 1700's when it was known as lip rouge. Lip Stick has positively and neagtively contributed to our society. Lip Stick is often a quick fix when someone does not feel comfortable in their own skin. It comes in a variety of colors, so every outfit can have a different shade to match. The negative aspect is that it reenforces the fact that women should wear makeup to make themselves look better instead of being happy with their bodies.
