Family Court 7- SW Conducts Interviews 8- SW Submits Report to Family Court 9- DNA Requested and Taken 10- DNA Results received (by us and at Embassy) 11- US. Embassy Issues "Pre-Approval" 12- Case Enters "PGN" and is assigned to an attorney 13- PGN Approval Issued (Usually 1-3 months) 14- Child's Birth Certificate Issued 15- Guatemalan Passport Issued 16- Translation of Documents to English 17- "Pink Slip" Issued by U.S. Embassy 18- Medical Exam by Embassy Doctor 19- To Guatemala :) Embassy appointment 20- Pick up visa/passport - Homeward Bound |
