A History of Chiriko

Chiriko is quite small for his age, and so looks a lot younger than he really is. Chiriko is bright and cheerful, and loves spending his time constantly reading and studying. He likes using his intelligence to aid and instruct people; it gives him a feeling of pride and accomplishment in his abilities. Chiriko lacks some self-esteem, and so has a need to be looked after and appraised by other people. Without the approval of others, Chiriko experiences some feelings of doubt and worthlessness. However, he always tries his best to pull through, even during tough times, and possesses a good deal of courageousness beneath his childlike exterior.

Chiriko is kind-hearted and thoughtful, and always ready to dedicate himself wholly to anyone who needs him. He likes to feel important to people, and so will commit himself to any helpful and just cause. Chiriko is very polite and respectful, and tries behaving bravely, but at times can be a crybaby as well. Feeling ashamed of his smallness and weakness, Chiriko idolizes the strong kind of man. Chiriko has a longing for appreciation, and so tries his best to be useful in any way he can.

Chiriko displayed an interest in learning from a very young age; he studies by reading just about every book in the world. He is dedicated to his education, devoting himself wholeheartedly to studying and researching knowledge. Chiriko is never hesitant to put his intelligence to use, he eagerly steps in and offers his assistance. He is upfront with what he knows, and presents information wherever possible, if he thinks there is even the slightest chance of gaining an advantage through it.

Chiriko gradually comes to accept who he is and display his true inner strength, when he is surrounded by people who encourage and care about him. Chiriko is proud to be a Suzaku Seishi and share in the destiny of being a protector of Suzaku No Miko.
