In the summer of 1999, Kids Cabaret performed one of its best musicals ever, "The King and I." With great cooperation from the Hingham Town Staff, "The King and I" was performed in the newly renovated Sandborn Auditorium of the Hingham Town Hall. Twelve hundred people over two nights and one matinee, watched the magic between a young School Teacher and the King of Siam.
This is a picture of Alex Olson and Jeanette Polara portraying the oringial Siamese royals Prince Chulalongkorn and a royal lady. It was taken during a dress rehearsal at the Hingham Recreation Center.
