Toddler (18 Months - 36 Months) Curriculum

 

This is a play group experience that responds to each child's growing interests and activities. Large and small motor coordination is developed through games and the opportunity to play with simple puzzles, pop-beads and large blocks.

Language development is encouraged at "Circle Time" through songs, finger plays, and stories.

Throughout art activities, the children are introduced to colors and shapes. Also and a basic trust of others in the group are acquired.


  • 6:30am - 8:00 am Arrival time, social play development.
    Focus: Socialization

  • 8:00am-8:30am Breakfast.

  • 8:30am-8:45am Bathroom and diaper activity.

  • 8:45-9:30am Circle Time, child development, music, art, discovery, outdoors.
    Focus: Child interaction, six stages of development

  • 9:30am-10am Gross motor.
    Focus: Large muscle, movement, coordination

  • 10am-10:15am Snack time, bathroom activity.

  • 10:15am-10:45am Outdoors, optional indoor activities.
    Focus: child initiated, adult initiated

  • 10:45-11:30am Child development, readiness activities, discovery, dramatic play.
    Focus: Cognitive, fine motor, multi-sensory, imagination

  • 11:30am-12pm Social play development, bathroom activity, prep for lunch.

  • 12pm-12:30pm Lunch.

  • 12:30pm-3pm Rest period, quiet activities.

  • 3pm-3:30pm Bathroom activity, snack.

  • 3:30pm-4pm Social play development.

  • 4pm-6:30pm Departure, Gross motor activities.
