My class discipline is the sometimes called the "Stoplight" behavior plan. The children begin their day on purple. (To help with taking attendance and teaches responsibility for checking in.) When they enter, your child pulls their card to start them on a green day. Our colors are: green, yellow, orange, red, and blue. After a child is given a warning, the child pulls their card. Every day your child will start on green. So it is a new day.
Consequences: Yellow card- 5 minutes time out Orange card- 10 minutes time out Red card - note home to parent/phone call Blue card- principal's office **Every day your child's green behavior chart will be marked with the color your child received for the day. If the chart is missing or not marked please feel free to call or write.**
Here are our class rules to help them stay on GREEN !! These are our rules in the classroom. Please talk to your child when they have broken a rule.
* Following directions the first time given * Keeping hands and feet to ourselves * Raising our hand to speak or ask permission * Staying in our assigned area * Treating each other with respect.
Rewards : Every Friday is treasure box day. If your child has stayed on green all week they get to pick a small treasure. I also have special helpers throughout the day. I also send home certificates, stickers, and notes home to let you know how your child is doing.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child's behavior in the classroom, please feel free to call or send in a note. I will get back to you as soon as possible. |
