| TRILEMMA - 'CROWDED WILDERNESS' EP (4-track EP/ 2002) Trilemma member Pete, first things first, is THE kindest guy. See, I don't have a record player in working order and 3-piece Trilemma focus their efforts on releasing their material as much as possible on vinyl. So they sent me a record unknowing of my situation, and now the 'Crowded Wilderness' hamper on CD once I embarrassingly admitted I couldn't play the record at all, Sam. This is romanticised lo-fi, sold to sensitive listeners with lovely, subtle melodies, the beauty of 'Finite Things' out-starring the click-click lo-fi of EP-opener 'Sorrow Passim.' The lyrics are sheer poetry as gushed in 'Satellite Town' (with 'rusting pylons spitting through the fog'), before 'March April Dismay reaffirms Trilemma's love for all things slow, serene and sumptuous. They have much to say, and beauty to play - please listen. (STEVE RUDD) www.trilemma.co.uk E-mail [email protected] Write to Pete, 2A LINLEY ROAD, HARTSHILL, STOKE ON TRENT. |
