TRILEMMA - 'CROWDED WILDERNESS' EP
(4-track record/ 2002/ 'KITCHEN RECORDS')

I've been meaning to review this record for ages and apologise to band member Pete who sent me it in all its sweet glory sincerely. Pete, I'm sorry
Yep there's been a bit of dilemma with this release from Trilemma. For me there has been anyway, seen as though these 4 tracks are vinyl-embossed and I don't have a record player of my own, and my dad's has conveniently broken!
So while I haven't actually had the aural pleasure of hearing this Stoke-based band's alleged soothing beauty, I've got to say that Trilemma sure approach their releases with pure professionalism and perfection. Sent with the record itself no less was a glossy photo of a genuine, gorgeous snow scene taken in the country, some fab record-accompanying artwork (that's also coolly snow-bound) and a charmingly ickle booklet of rousingly poetic lyrics to their songs on this EP, 'Sorrow Passim' ('A lachrymose last kiss leaves you groping blind through all of this'), 'Finite Things' ('You simply turn your back - I don't know why, but I loved you for that') 'Satellite Town' and 'March April Dismay' ('Wishing for a wish, I've done questionable things')
As a 3-piece and championed by 'The Exclusive' fanzine as epic purveyors of gorgeous music, Trilemma sound to be a must-hear band. Well they must be, mustn't they? I mean I haven't even heard them but here I am singing their praises
Oh God, I've gotta go. Anyone got a record player for sale, please? I'm so gagging to hear this gagging I tell ya!
