SILVERSUN
IMMEDIATE

(single/ INVISIBLE HANDS)

God, no! The Sun front man in James Broad was recently injured whilst making the accompanying video to Immediate or so it has been alleged, when Mr. Broad thought that he was James Bond for a while and went hell for leather to emulate some of the secret agents stunning stunts for the aforementioned video. Long story short, he injured himself. Details are sketchy, but he should hopefully be fit enough to tour with the band, both in promotion of this amazing single, and when the bands eagerly anticipated new album is finally released; titled Disappear Here, itll hit all good record stores - as soon as possible - in 2006.
This single, in the meantime, is dominated by Immediate - essentially a sublime power-pop song packed with the bands trademark fuzz-charged guitar riffs and James silky smooth vocals that couldnt offend a fly or McFly, for that matter. The first release since Silversuns Ill See You Around hit single, Immediate sounds destined to hit the charts with a resounding thump, backed as it is by two just-as-great b-sides. Dance With Me, up first, is a fast and fun pop-rock song, while Sweet Baby burns with the highly melodic dynamism that so dominates the music of Ash and Farrah. Pop-rock songs rarely come any catchier than those that Silversun hack out, with strong Beach Boys-esque harmonies complementing perfectly the wealth of eye-watering melodies.
On the back of previous albums, Silversun and Neo Wave, this band is big business, supported by a huge band of loyal followers. The latest material will naturally attract plenty of new converts in due course. Whats more, No animals were hurt in the production of this material, so claims the single sleeve. And thats always a good thing, too.
