Another quality cauldron of controversy-rock from those nice-guys-next-door the Murderdolls, and they�re only following Marilyn Manson�s suit by covering a classic 80�s anthem. While Manson re-worked �Tainted Love� to a disturbingly fab effect, these 5 dudes have opted for Billy Idol�s �White Wedding.� And why not?! Remaining tight and true to Bleach-blonde Billy Boy�s original, frontman Wednesday 13 (who should surely be called Friday 13) roars �It�s a nice day to start again.�
That cool enough track aside, �I Love To Say Fuck� snatches the gold for being the most exciting track by a mean stretch on this single - and you betcha Mary Whitehouse would love it. Nope, no need for (much) censorship here (scoff-scoff)� so get em on the Jonathan Ross show pronto. No, honestly � there�s no need to remove anything from this out-and-out middle finger to anyone who abhors the �F� word as �I don�t care if you�re my mother-fucking father� is balled. But the �Dolls� sentiment does stick. �Fuck� is only a word, and until a �to� prefix is added we�ve heard it all before � but this quirky anthem totally rocks your bastard bollocks off five Sundays from Halloween. As does the coy cheek of �I Take Drugs� which follows, that almost persuades: �You should too!�
Despite their obviously successful attention-seeking attempts - not to mention guitarist Joey who�s also a Slipknot member - the Murderdolls are still talented to wank (as opposed to fuck of course), and if you haven�t heard their debut album already � go on� go beg, steal or kill for a copy. 9/10
