This one-track promo of fantastic things to come is swiped proudly from the London band's forthcoming LP 'People Are Cruel' and relies on front-dude Matt Motte's dirty and raw rawk tendencies, propelled by band member John's thumping drum beat and Nash's slick bass. As their music resides on 'Transcopic Records,' you can hear Matt's admiration for Ray Davies in this song's Kinks-esque bridge of strength, the retro guitar riff repeated to infinity, beyond and back again to doubly embed it deep into your conscience.
Matt may be shouty and screamy and Mower may be subsequently on an equal rock and roll par with bands like The Libertines and The Vines, but what's important here is that this is a great anthem with enough rebellious pop zest and lewd sparkle to guarantee that Mower will refuse at all costs to be cut down by their peers� What's more, they are spawny enough to have Stephen Street as much-sought-after producer on hand.
