ELECTRIC EEL SHOCK DO THE METAL
(MIGHTY ATOM)

Electric Eel Shocks slippery backhand of cock-rock is just as self-assured as The Darkness. This mad Jap trio are a must-see live experience, a must-hear listening scream-fest of rock n roll riffs and sidesplitting antics.
While none of their rock power is lost in cross-continental translation, the titles of their songs read to the contrary, what with the equally-as-cool-as-the-title-track b-sides in the bass-line led Japanese meets Chinese in USA, before I Wanna Be A Black Sabbath, But I Should Be A Black Bass (whatever thats all about).
Being from Japan and all, they manage to come on like a crazy cross between The Hives and The Star Spangles, and while the highlight of their lyrical prowess cringeworthily comes in the form of the lines Dont tell me what is right, dont tell me what is wrong, their spirited attitude towards having fun with writing and when performing their music is second to none and ruthlessly unfaultable.
If you do go to see these guys play live though, be warned: the drummer has a penchant for letting his dong just hang, shielding his modesty with just a sock. So, if any other bands come forward and claim they were called Electric Eel Shock first, a band-name change to the more appropriate Electric Eel Cock probably wouldnt be out of the question
