Following-up their cracking �Desert Racer� debut EP, this Manchester-based trio is back with another top helping of the best angularly riffing guitars and sweet female vocals.
Fronted by Paula, her sassy singing and guitar playing is the perfect requisite for a band that clearly loves melodic Blues-pop music, rousingly smeared with punk and rock undercurrents. Opened by �Temptation of The Delta Saint,� this is groovily uplifting even before the truly sublime chorus comes to call.
�A Troubled Mind� could have been named after the movie �A Beautiful Mind,� this tune is so lushly chilled, as a Doors-esque piano riff precedes some guitar white noise. �Laura Jane,� aptly rounding off both her and this EP�s affairs, ultimately proves that the heavy guitar riffs cut a great contrast to Paula�s smooth, harmonious vocals.
Kay on bass guitar (and backing vocals) and Martin on drums completes the band set-up, and their debut album is allegedly on its way very soon indeed. Just not soon enough�
