Holy shit! Imagine The Darkness doing death-metal and you have a vague idea what this band sound like.
11 tracks of ultimate hardcore action, this album is fucking awesome, the menacing, voiced-over intro that announces in hush-tones that �the dark horse is coming� pre-empting Ride Darkhorse Ride�s intensity.
All songs are anchored with riffs straight out of Iron Maiden�s archives, abetted devilishly with doomy-gloomy, Cradle of Filth-styled mayhem.
�Heir To The Chaos Throne� winks at Guns �n� Roses� Axl and his high-pitched singing, though there is brief respite from the relentless, riotous rock by way of the musical interlude �Journey To The Promiseland,� which jaw-droppingly is a beautiful acoustic tune played out as if we�re not in the 21st Century but are actually trapped in the Dark Ages for real.
That one-stop shop for mellow relief aside, 3 Inches of Blood (and then some�) are seriously one of the most passionate metal bands of this extreme caliber rocking the free world.
