nature of desiring something not within reach

If you set your heart on to reach goals that are not reachable you�re
setting your self up to get your heart broken.
Our minds, hearts and eyes are always observing things places and people and if they seem pleasant to us we may desire to possess them to one extent or another. That is natural and we would not be normal if it were not the case.
If however our desire goes the next step and we begin to think that what is obviously out of reach is possible to obtain, we move into a state that sooner or later WILL end up in heartbreak and sadness.
Its difficult when we get in this mindset to evaluate what we�re doing and it often takes an outsider who knows our situation well to help us see clearly. Too many times we find out only when the object our affection is revealed to us as completely out of reach by circumstances.
Guard your heart against false hopes, and hoping that anything will come to pass that is not certain. I guess that eliminates a lot of hoping in a lot of things, but it will also eliminate a lot of disappointments and heartaches in this life.
