Why the Melda Mountains? Well, having seen the Lord of the Rings movie three times (that's three times in theatres mind you, that's never happened before), I can honestly say that it's very, very VERY close to over taking the Magnificent Seven in my obsession department. It's absolutely fabulous! I can't get enough of it and so with pride I return to my roots and take up the burden of being a fantasy freak.

Whoppee!!!!! All three movies have now been released!!

(Now we just wait for  the extended ROTK to come out, HeHeHe)
You'll find the mountains heavily laden with pictures of a certain elf, but since I can't have a Lord of the Rings site without the rest of the fellowship, here they are:
The Rest of the Fellowship
A wizard is never late!
Nobody tosses a dwarf!
Aragorn, son of Arathorn (aka Strider, aka Estel, aka Elessar, aka . . . . . )
Three rings for the Elven-Kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Man doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One ring to rule them all, One ring to find them,
One ring to bring them all and in the Darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

J.R.R. Tolkien
                                                                                      The Lord of the Rings
You need people of intelligence for this sort of mission ... quest ... thing.
I wish the ring had never come to me
Yee old disclaimer: J.R.R. Tolkien wrote the Lord of the Rings trilogy so I guess technically he owns the characters. New Line Prodcutions, Inc. has the copyright I guess, cause they produced the movie. I don't even own the pictures!!! I took them off some other sites (sob). Please don't sue me or get mad at me, I know I don't own any of it, but if I don't show my appreciation for it somehow I'll burst. And yes, I've finally finished the books! Now, on to The Silmarillion!
Mr. Frodo's not going anywhere without me!
Nine Companions
He is no mere ranger!
Gandalf, called Mithrandir, the Grey Pilgrim by the Elves
Legolas, Prince of the Woodland Realm of Mirkwood
Boromir, Son of the Steward of Gondor
Mr. Samwise Gamgee, Frodo's Faithful Companion
Mr. Frodo Baggins, the Ringbearer
Mr. Meriadoc Brandybuck
"Merry"
Mr.Peregrine Took
"Pippen"
Gimli, son of Gloin
Dwarf of the northern mountains
a very enraged dwarf
As a good companion and friend of my dear Legolas, I felt the need to add another picture of Gimli, the dwarf. Plus this was so amusing! Certainly wouldn't want to come across him in a dark alley. Or a light alley for that matter.
Welcome to the Melda Mountains!

Home to wizards, elves and mythical mayhem since A.D. 2003
That is the story of the ring. Now travel with the Fellowship of the Ring to the ends of Middle Earth as they and all Free Peoples fight the Lord Sauron in an epic battle against evil! (Does that sound exciting or what?)

Visit Rivendell, Home of the great elf lord, Elrond!

Journey south with the fellowship to cruel Caradhras!

Enter the dwarven halls of Moria! Ohh, scary!

Take a trip to beautiful Lothlorien - also home to Celeborn and Haldir!

Go by boat down the Anduin to Amon Hen!

Pass to the Riddermark, home to the Horse-Lords (and Eomer, hehe)

Enter Fangorn Forest, but beware! Even Lord Celeborn is wary. . . .

Go with Gandalf and the Three Hunters to the Golden Hall in Edoras

Witness the horrific battle at Helm's Deep!

Coming Soon! A visit to Isengard, a gathering of warriors and maybe some hobbit fighting!

And don't forget to visit Mirkwood, home to promo shots, unknown pictures and the weapons of Lord of the Rings!
