Some time ago, a friend of mine, who shall remain nameless, but is sometimes known by the initials BB, got me interested in the animation cleverly refered to as Japanese anime. OK, so like with many other things, it's more than interest and actually borders on obsession. It's fueled by the countless hours of movies and shows that I've watched since then. And so, it is with pleasure I present the little corner of my kingdom dedicated to the genre of anime.
Taking time to smell the roses
The first was undoubtedly Sailor Moon. Of course my fav character was Tuxedo Mask. And I didn't need BB to introduce me to the Sailor Scouts. I had a few other friends equally enamoured with the hero in the penguin suit.
EDIT: actually, the first anime I watched was The Three Musketeers and I watched it in french!
The next show was Dragonball Z, although there were a few movies in between. Now this I can, without remorse, blame on that same nameless friend (BB) because I wasn't the slightest bit interested until he lent me a few tapes. It's all his fault I'm hopelessly addicted!!!
(P.S. click on the nifty looking dude to the right to see DBZ's very own piece of property here in my kingdom)
Di-di-digimon
Well, it wasn't long before I was hopelessly caught up in Digimon, which is eternally better than Pokemon because Ash annoys me to no end. But this is what happens when you have too much free time and cable TV.
(And in case you didn't guess, the guy to the left is my fav character, as an adult. His name is Ken. He used to be evil. Go figure.)
Sakura stole all the cards! (whine whine)
I've also been known to watch Card Captors (or Card Captor Sakura if you want to get technical). Surprise, surprise, the boy you see is my fav. His name is Li, and hey, I choose him cause his battle costume is way cooler than any of Sakura's.

Kamehameha
Vision of Escaflowne was one show that I used to watch whenever I got the chance and I quite recently finished downloding all the episodes, so I've finally seen the whole thing. Man, do I love Allen. And Folken. In fact, they have their own page!
Allen Schezar
Okay, so I've seen more than just these few, most notably the entire "Love Hina" series (thanks to an all day marathon) about a guy in a girls dormitory, "Ranma 1/2" about a guy who turns into a girl when he gets cold(?) water dumped on him, and two Patlabor movies as well as a few I've forgotten (which I'm sure BB will point out to me if he ever sees this)
Lord Folken
One of my favourites is Witch Hunter Robin, which just got licensed in the US. If I had the money, I'd be buying it, but I don't, so I'm stuck with a fan-subbed version. All the same, I love this show.
If you guessed that this guy is my fav, you'd be right.
Up above is Jean Jacques Mondo (I love his long, blonde hair), a spriggan from France. He's a character in, oddly enough, a movie named Spriggan. Heh. It's based on the manga released in the US under the title 'Striker'.
OK, this is from Full Moon wo Sagashiite (I really hope I spelled that right). Aren't the cat ears cute?
And this is from Gundam Seed. The only Gundam series I've ever seen. And I've actually only seen part of it. But, I  liked it.
This one was also just licensed in the US. Exciting.
Currently, my favs are the Gundam Seed series (see above) and Saiyuki, about a Buddhist monk, a monkey king, a red-headed half-demon and a dude who used to be human but is now slightly on the demonic side. My collections have grown to include the 'Striker' manga series, Suikoden and the entire Gundam Seed manga. Impatiently awaiting GS Destiny now. I am such a geek.
