Mystery #5 - Birds in the UCSA
Birds in the UCSA and not of the female variety. No, these are the type that fly around the building, eating crumbs and spreading pestilence.
How the cafeteria still manages to operate without violating the health code is a mystery indeed. The sign of bird droppings on the chairs and table is disconcerting enough, without having to watch staff clean them up with the same cloth they use to wipe down non-soiled items.
Previous attempts to exterminate this winged pest have been futile and the presence of an abandoned Pest Control van in the car park only deepens this mystery. Reliable sources put the disappearance of multiple exterminators solely at the hands (or should that be wings?) of a so called "mother bird", a large behemoth of a creature which nests high in the rafters.
Hopefully with a new UCSA administration in 2008, this problem can be rectified but until then, keep watching the skies...
