Here's a look at the clubs we'll be seeing in Ping's G5 Series:

Ping G5 Driver
The G5 driver is 460cc in clubhead volume with its internal weighting redistributed to lower the center of gravity. This driver produces lower spin rates at launch for greater distance, Ping says. The G5 driver is similar in shape to the popular G2, but has cool blue tiger stripes.

With the lower spin rates achieved with this driver (compared to the former series), the lofts were increased by .5 of a degree. Available lofts are 7.5, 9, 10.5, 12 and 13.5. The Ping TFC 100 Graphite is the standard shaft, with Aldila NV 65 and Grafalloy ProLaunch 65 also offered as stock shafts.

An offset version will also be available for golfers who need help fighting a slight or producing a draw. The G5 Offset Driver utilizes a .25 inch of offset and will come in 9, 10.5 and 12-degree lofts.

Both drivers carry an MSRP of $350 and shipments already went from Ping on Setpember 1st. You can now find them in stores.

460cc head- The 460cc Head size features improved internal weight placement that gives the Ping G5 driver a greater moment of inertia for more stability, forgiveness and control.
Web Crown Design- Material removed from low stress areas in the crown is repositioned in the sole, lowering the GC for reduced spin and increased distance.
Improved variable face geometry- The variable face thickness of the G5 driver is precision machined for increased performance and durability. Variable face geometry helps optimize the CG location by redistributin material from low stress areas of the face.
Robotic Plasma Welds- Robotic plasma welding produces very accurate and consistent welds, which improve the consistency and durability of the face. The process also saves weight., which PING engineers have redistributed throughout the club head to further improve the driver's stability.
New Lofts- There is also an offset version (available in 10.5, and 12 degrees). Standard lofts are 9, 10.5, 12 and 13.5 degrees. Men's Ladies and Seniors. Available in Blue, Aldila NV and stock Ping graphite shafts.

Ping's new G5 Series includes drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons and putters -- marking the first time in the company's 46-year history that products in all categories have been launched under one name simultaneously.
Numerous advancements, including a dual durometer face, Solheim said, highlight the G5i putter series. The new insert design, according to Solheim, features a soft perimeter injected with a higher durometer impact surface for optimal feel and sound. The insert cavity is precision machined to ensure consistency.

Solheim said inertia increases average 10 percent across the new line and are attributed to redistribution of weight resulting from the addition of through holes and sole cavities.

In addition, Solheim said alignment is improved with a ball-width, crescent-shaped top rail -- a feature first introduced on the popular Ping Craz-E Series. Solheim said the new series also applies a new Optigraphic Alignment System in the back of each model to further assist in alignment.
