Ben Hogan is a legend among golfers. Though many though of him as a loner who preferred to be by himself, he will be remembeed as one of the greats for at least another 100 years. But, as with all fame he will be forgotten eventually. For fame depends on the mood and attitudes of people. 100 years from now golf may no longer even be a sport. It is only a litle over 100 years old in the mainstream.

Sports have cycles. In Rome it was the time of the gladiators. Some sports stay for a long time like sumo wrestling in Japan. It wasn't considered a national sport until 1909 but had been practiced for centuries for rituals throughout Japan.

This tribute to Ben Hogan may be forgotten in the future. While he is still being remembered as a legend enjoy this small selection of pictures I have found.
