| Full Name: Michael James Poplees D.O.B./ Age: Well, I've been playing bass now for 16 years so, uh what would be your guess? Band(s): I was involved with a band here in NY for two years called WithinAnother. I joined the band back in spring 2001. I guess the best way to describe the metal style would be: Aggresive/Progressive metal The band was originally a studio band until I joined. We made a 4 song cd in winter 2001 and just before I resigned in Spring 2003 another cd was completed. I was also involved with First Phase back in 89-91. We were a thrash metal band. We were pretty much compared to Flotsam and Jetsam and Old Metallica. We completed a 5 song demo. The band disbanded in 1991. How long have you been playing bass? I've been playing bass for 16 years. Do you play any other instruments? Nope I don't play any other instruments. Just bass only bass and BASS| LOL If any, what special recognitions/awards have you received? Nope, not for bass. I get a kick ass review from the Terenbeous Kingdom zine. Influences: My influences pretty much span from Thrash metal I consider myself a powerprog thrash metal bassist. We don't know much about this instrument so what kind of equipment do you use (we're talking musical here, brand names, types...)?
