Part 3 - To See
with Open Eyes
He sighed,
his eyes closed. She eyed him warily for a moment, fearing an
outburst.
"Your
wasting your time then." He said his face going blank. All
emotion was
gone as if it had never been there.
"Liar." She
hissed, her eyes narrowing. Anger surfaced instantly.
"How dare
you-"
"Save it for
someone with only half a brain Vegeta!" she snarled. He drew
back a pace and blinked in surprise,
his rage nearly forgotten. "I'm not a fool, and
I know your lying now. You DO
feel the same emotions we all do but you lock
them away and pretend they don't
exist! How can you expect anyone to be honest
with you when everything about you is
a lie?"
"You don't
know what you are saying-" he began, his face pale.
"Ah, but I
do Vegeta. I can see more than just anger in your eyes at ALL
times."
She said, her cerulean eyes searching
his. He fought the urge to look away.
"And hiding your emotions is just
like lying to me. So perhaps you could
understand how I find it hard to take
your words at face value."
And there it
was, just like she anticipated. She saw what could easily be
described as pain in his eyes.
