Part 2 - To feel
and not to feel…
"Then why
are you afraid of me? You think just because I yell at you I'm going to
end the argument by beating you? I
don't beat on weak women as a rule and I only
killed them when I was assigned
to. Don't insult me." He stepped back, dropping
his arms, allowing Bulma her
freedom. She didn't move, she stared at him hard
as if trying to discern his motives
for such a confession.
"How was I
supposed to know that? I don't know anything about you! You look
like you want to hit me plenty of
times. There's nothing stopping you at any rate."
"If you
thought this all along, then why provoke me? If you're so scared
that I'm
going to retaliate in that manner,
why even speak to me?" her eyes dropped to the
floor, but it was not out of
shame. She was looking for a real answer to give him.
Regardless, he quickly grew impatient
with her silence. "I would like an answer
now, woman, not tomorrow."
"I'm
wondering if anything I can say to you will result in anything other
than
anger. I want to know if you
feel anything else at all!"
