| Hi, I'm Jo McCarthy of Kiannapark Pointers & Italian Greyhounds. We are located in Canning Vale, WA, about 20 minutes south west of Perth. Pointers came into my life in the early nineties when I purchased Carenup Imagination(Natasha). Natasha's life until then had been one of torment and neglect, often teased by her previous owners children or left chained up in the rain. She adapted to her easier lifestyle with me and took only 14 months(with time off to be a mother) to attain her Australian Champion title. Italian Greyhounds. After helping a good friend with her IGs for a few years I was given Christian(Ch Mirica The Anarchist). Christian did very well in the showring, gaining his Australian Champion title at 13 months, with many classes in group, runner up best in group & class in show wins along the way. It was never my intention to breed IGs, but they are such an endearing little dog that I couldn't see myself without one so the quest began to find a suitable partner for Christian. And along came Grace. The continuing aim is to breed healthy, sound dogs, which adhere, as closely as possible to the standard, breeding only when I want a new dog for myself, in accordance with CAWA code of ethics. |
