Koby was imported from the Netherlands in June 2008 as an 8 week old puppy, and so far he's been everything I'd hoped for. He's a sociable, self-confident boy who seems pretty unflappable. Like most Belgians, he's a quick learner. He's well-built with a lovely outline, and while he is typey, he's not extreme in anything (excpet for his profuse "teddy-bear" puppy coat...which will disappear in time).
Koby has already shown herding promise after being on sheep once in the fall of 2008, and has a very basic start in Obedience & Mondio training. In 2009 I hope to continue herding training (aiming for an HT or PT during the year), prepare him for the Obedience & Rally rings, and continuing with Mondio (something new to both of us!).
Koby has yet to make his conformation debut, but watch for him to be prancing around the ring at the BSCA National in Wisconsin in late April/early May 2009 (or he may just sidle up to you at ringside and give you a big kiss!)
Many thanks to Angela Pos for her support and for sending this wonderful guy all the way over to Minnesota and allowing me to share his life! |
