| Kiamba Birmans ... breeding the Sacred Cat of Burma - the Beautiful Birman
We are a small Registered cattery situated in the leafy garden suburbs in the Sutherland Shire, south of Sydney, NSW, Australia. We were first introduced to the loving, affectionate, gentle nature of the Birman in November 2000, when we brought home a beautiful Blue Point male kitten who we named "Simba" (the Lion King). After a while, we realised that you can't live with just one Birman, so we decided to get Simba a playmate. We started breeding the beautiful Birman Cat in 2002, with our foundation Queen - "Kriska Princess Kiara". We expanded with our own Stud Boy ("Badarene Flame Boy") in 2003. We now have 2 Stud Boys, 4 Queens and 2 Neuter Boys. We breed Seals, Blues, Lilacs, Chocolates, Reds and Tortie Points. Our girls live in our home, and all our kittens are born & raised in the house, with constant human companionship. They get lots of love & affection, and are well-adjusted & ready for their new homes from approx 11 - 13 weeks of age. They are well socialised with the other cats and our dog. They are micro-chipped, vaccinated, wormed & litter trained, and come with a "Kitten Pack". Special thanks to Debra Saunders (my "Mentor") (Kriska Birmans), Barbara Patterson and Kim Franke (Kimbara Birmans), Daneille Rogers (Rasharnee Birmans), and B K Heather (Sharada Birmans) for their friendship, guidance, advice and help. A "super-special" thank-you to my husband, Peter - for his patience and understanding, and for allowing me to follow my dream.
