"He that loves a book will never want a faithful friend, a wholesome  counselor, a cheerful companion, an effectual comforter. By study, by reading, by thinking, one may  innocently divert and pleasantly entertain himself, as in all weathers, as in all fortunes."

                                   ~ Barrow ~

I don't ever remember a time that I didn't love reading. My mother who was an avid reader, instilled that love in me. If I don't have a least one book in the house ready to read, I feel edgy and one of the big pleasures in my life is knowing that where ever I may be, a big juicy novel is waiting for me at home. Especially if written by one of my favorite authors. I love family sagas, British history and British mystery. and if I can find at least one or two of these elements in a book, I know I'm in for a thumpin' good read!

Below you will find listed a sampling of my favorite authors and below that, some links to my favorite places to find their books or just browse. Please don't forget to spend time in the public libraries. A wonderful world awaits you there and it's free!
