Every single too owner has at least one horror story of learning the hard way
1) never to leave your bird out of the cage unattended
2)never ever leave your things where your Too can get her overactive beak on them.

My horror story consists of a whistling kettle, a cockatoo and a tube of crazy glue.

Go on, guess.......

Frances was playing happily on her cage and I went into the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea.  I was out of the room for about 2 minutes at the most.

When I came back, Frances was off her cage, on the couch with her beak glued shut and the tube of crazy glue stuck fast to her foot.

Thud!   (that was me fainting from shock)

The good thing is Crazy Glue is non toxic.  The bad thing is we had an awful time ungluing her beak - or rather the vet  at the 24 hour emergency clinic did.  I sat in the waiting room rubbing my bank card hoping I had enough to cover this, and dreading the thought of having to phone the Bank of Dad.

Even after her beak was freed, she had a clear coating of glue on her tongue which had to wear off on it's own.
