Step 1 |
The begining of your training should consist of learning how not to get hit. There are many ways to dodge but I will give you the best ones that I can think for, but remember because street fighting is a part of this art, feel free to sub stitute certain moves with others, or evolve my moves to fit the situation. |
Duck |
Your first dodge is a simple duck. To perform it you need only bend the knees and duck the head slightly while still keeping your eyes on your opponent. This can be used against punches and some kicks, depending on how low you go. |
Crouch |
This next doge is used solely against kicks, and requires expert timing and speed. To perform it as if you were dodging a kick coming from your left you would bend the right knee all the way down as if you were about to sit down but lock the left leg as if you were doing a stretch for your groin muscle as you lightly duck your head, then immediatly come up as the kick goes over head. reverse directions if the kick comes from your right side. |
Swinging Duck |
This next dodge is almost the same as the dode no.1 except when you do it you sway under the attack allowing you to counter attack easier. Just perform dodge no.1 but when you duck dodge under the attack by swaying your upper body under the attack and towards it, so if an attacker comes swings an attack at you that is going from your right to your left then you would sway to the right while ducking your head down below there chest leval. |
