Deva Style KI! By: Aaron Jones Deva style KI is a form of KI training that is used by those that mainly don't get angered easily. It easier to control with a calm mind and body. I must tell you first though that I am Kinsei style so I use KI almost equally well whether angered or calm, but I do have Deva tendencies. It is easier for me to meditate and the likes with a clear mind. I believe the first thing a Deva warrior must know how to do is keep calm. It is very difficult not to get angry when you have just gotten punched in the face in a fight, but with the right training you will either A. Not get punched or B. Not get angry about getting punched. I believe A would be the better choice but there will always be someone better than you in a fight. So we must also train for the proverbial B choice. We will start with choice A to train: You should be in or have been in a Martial Art to start with. Next you should not only be striving for battle but also enlightenment. A good way to work on both is too learn astral projection. In astral space a warrior can work on battle techniques but also strive to reach enlightenment. Meditation should also be top on your list of things to do. Since astral projection is easier to do in a calm state Deva warriors will have an advantage over Ashura. But an Ashura warrior could have trained extremely hard and reached a point of total anger control so don't believe just because you are a calm fighter you can beat an angry one. To train yourself to become calm easier meditate everyday and learn to be able to go into that calm state on a whim. Remember to also cultivate KI when meditating. When you can become on a moments notice then you should begin devising a attack, defensive, and health technique. When you can become calm and have your own attacks and such then you should begin reaching a higher level. To reach this higher level you must train without stopping. Never give up and never ever become angry. It will be hard but soon nothing will be able to bother you. It this battle hardened, rock solid battle grace you will be able to take control of any situation. When this grace has been reached then all of your training should be working toward reaching enlightenment. But remember to keep an underlining reason to also make you a better warrior. |
