| Philosophy is not darshan. Darshan is the Eastern term. Darshan meens perception, philosophy meens thinking. Hermann Hesse has coined a new word to translate darshan into western languages. He calls it "philpsia -- sia comes from, too see". Philosophy meens to think, Darshan meens to see. The two are basically different - not only different but diametrically opposite, because when you are thinking, you cant see. You are so filled with thoughts, that you become blind. When you stop thinking, you become able to see. Then your eyes are opened, unclouded. Perception only happens when thinking stops. Stop thinking about the truth and see it.... | ||||||||||
