In servers previous to the ProLiant 2500, SCSI adapters can only be installed between the SCSI Controller and the SCSI cable and not directly to the SCSI device.}

Note 10: 9.1 GB / 10,000 RPM hard drive in a rack configuration require an Optional Redundant Power Supply fan unit for adequate cooling.

Beach Gray is the color of the Server's and SCSI Storage Expander's outer panels and is a much lighter gray. Be sure to differentiate between the two colors when ordering a replacement. Note 16: These are sheet metal rack accessories for installing Compaq servers and peripherals in Compaq and most 3rd party server racks. The DAFRK is used to mount Compaq rack-mountable servers. The SSK is used with the Compaq ProLiant 850R, Microcom6000, drive arrays, and other devices. The Options part number for the DAFRK is: 332558-B21. The Option's part number for the SSK is: 332564-B21. See Service Advisory 2028 for additional details.

The SSK shelf supports 110lbs and includes a Cable Management Arm.

^{Note 18} This particular disk drive is not supported in the ProLiant 3000 and ProLiant 5500 because of physical incompatibilities.

^{Note 19}  The spare part number for the 1.44MB Diskette Drive for the ProLiant 3000 and ProLiant 5500 listed in the QRG, 144207-001, will not properly connect to the diskette cable that comes standard with these servers..  Instead, use part number 144207-201 when ordering a replacement diskette drive.

^{Note 20} SCA 80 Wide Ultra2 SCSI disk drives are supported in only hot plug Wide Ultra2 SCSI drive trays from Compaq.  Non hot plug SCA 80 drives are not supported in any configuration at this time.  Because of issues involved with combining power, control, and data conductors on one connector, multi-device SCA 80 SCSI cables are not available.  See Service Advisory 1277 for further details.

^{Note 21} The firmware for the original Smart Array Controller is no longer being upgraded. Use Options Rompaq SP8050, Version 2.47B to upgrade this controller to its latest firmware version, V2.26. Two spare part numbers were generated for this controller. It is advisable to replace hardware with the same spare part number of the part being replaced. This Smart Array Controller was available in only an EISA version.
