USB 2.0, USB1.0, USB1.1 Speeds
The USB 2.0 specification is an extension of USB 1.1 and is backward compatible with USB 1.1. USB supports data transfer rates of 480MBs per second. USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices use the same cables and connectors.

You may hear USB 2.0 referred to as Hi-Speed USB. There are actually two specifications. The USB 2.0 specification supports three speeds: 480 Mbps and the previous USB 1.0 and 1.1 speeds of 12 Mbps, and 1.5 Mbps. Hi-Speed USB, on the other hand, supports just the 480 Mbps portion of the USB 2.0 Specification.
