It
has been a very long time! But I am doing great. I am still in
Tucson. I tried to move back to Kewanee maybe 8 years ago and that was the
worst thing I ever did.
A little history to get you up to speed. I worked in the construction business operating heavy equipment for 20 years. Most of the time in a sand and gravel pit. For some time I was looking for a different career. About 7 months ago I started a new career in the computer field. I am working tech support for Microsoft and Windows 2000 and NT workstation. I started taking computer classes last year at night. I am currently still taking classes and working on my MCSE (Microsoft system engineer) that I hope to complete by years end.
We just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary (Debbie Dye from Kewanee). We have 3 kids ages 16 girl, 13 boy, 12 girl, and all getting great grades in school. I have not got a clue where they get it from because as you know I really did not like school nor did I do well.
All in all we are doing great! I really like my new career and I have a great family that I love. I finally have a beautiful home to go with my family, complete with a pool to stay cool in this hot desert.
I am sorry to say that the trip to Kewanee for the reunion is not going to happen. I was just there for a few days. With the new job and school I just do not have the time. Heck the short 4-day trip during Easter was the first in over 4 years. If it was not for the family there I do not think I would ever go back again.
A note to the class, sorry I missed the reunion. I have very fond memories of the days we spent together in school. After 25 years I am a little gray, lost a little hair, gained a few pounds, and yes I now have to wear glasses. But I still feel like a kid!
THE CLASS OF 76 ROCKS!!!!!!!
