Well
25 years seems like yesterday (yeah right)! Well here's what's been
happening. After high school I enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and married Lora
Bumphry (KHS 75). We moved to Tucson Arizona. We spent pretty much
the whole time I was in the service at Tucson with a few extended assignments in
Germany and Southern France. Soon after that a few guys from Kewanee moved
to Arizona. I don't have to mention any names they know who they
are. After the service and a divorce I spent the next 10 years wandering
the desert aimlessly (just kidding). I then took a position in Austin
Texas as General Sales Manager for a Commercial Sound Company were I designed
and installed Sound Systems for nightclubs, theaters and for large events
(remember Austin City Limits, Willies Farm Aid, etc.). I have always been
in technical sales and have sold just about everything including the shirt off
my back once or twice. For the last 10 years I have been in the state of
Kansas, either in Kansas City or in a small community just outside
Wichita. I'm an Account Manager for a Fluid Power firm out of St.
Louis. I consult, design and sell Robotics (pneumatics & hydraulics)
for automation to the Aerospace and Manufacturing Industry .
I met and married my wife Janet in Denver Colorado about ten yrs ago and we have a 9 year old boy Dustin and 3 yr old little girl JoHannah Faye. Janet works for LSI Logic here in Wichita and will be finishing her Degree in CIS about this time next year. She has been one of those career students along with taking care of my ass. Basically trying to keep the inflows higher than the outflows if you know what I mean.
Looks like we will be going back to Kewanee for the reunion. I sure wish everybody will be able to make it. If not maybe at the 30th. Let's try that one around Hog Days. Anyway, Its good to hear about everybody's lives.
Hope to see you in Kewanee.
