After high school I attended Lincoln Christian College, graduating with an degree in education. While I was there I met and married my terrific husband Andy--we have been very happily married for almost 22 years. We have lived in Washington, IL for most of our married life. Our oldest son Tom is 20 and is a Junior at Lincoln Christian College majoring in Family Life and Counseling. He is traveling for the college this summer as a student representative (getting paid to play drums in a band for the summer is a pretty good deal). Our daughter Melissa is 18 and recently graduated from Washington Community High School. She will be attending Lincoln Christian College this fall majoring in elementary education. Both kids have been very involved in music during their school years. Andy and I have spent alot of time volunteering in many school organizations--most recently a couple of years as band booster president. We have spent countless hours traveling from one marching band competition to another. Lots of fun--we'll miss it alot. In January we were beginning to dread this empty nest thing so we went out and brought home a new baby--a very little Maltese/poodle puppy. We all think she is adorable--all of us except our 11 year old Keeshond Katie. After 3 months they still do not get along at all. I wasn't looking forward to the house being so quiet--it certainly isn't now!!!

I have worked for quite a number of years as a church secretary--not a lot of money but a great flexible schedule so I could do stuff with the kids. I volunteer at the nursing home where my husband in the administrator. I have also just finished several years on the high schools Discipline and School Safety Committee. We are very involved with our church in music and other leadership responsibilities. We also love spending time in our yard. After cleaning up from a tornado that swept through our yard last spring we spent the summer putting in a pond and waterfall and a couple of fountains. Flower gardening is a LOT of work but I find it very relaxing and enjoyable.

It is really hard to believe that it has been 25 years since high school graduation. It is amazing to think that our class is spread all over the world doing some really interesting things. I am looking forward to coming to the reunion this weekend and seeing lots of old friends.
